Itaú Unibanco enhances Banking Services for 65 million Customers Using AWS
Itaú Unibanco signed a long-term strategic agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate IT modernization and give it the flexibility and scale to improve its customers’ banking experiences.
Itaú Unibanco’s chief information officer CIO Ricardo Guerra talks about digital transformation has helped the bank to use data more effectively to understand the behavior and needs of its 65 million clients. The organization signed a long-term strategic agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate IT modernization and give it the flexibility and scale to improve its customers’ banking experiences. Using AWS, Itaú Unibanco completed more than 100,000 implementations in 2021, reduced incidents that impact clients by 75%, and launched Pix instant payment services; today Itaú Unibanco is responsible for 20% of total Pix volume in Brazil.
