HP Anyware is the enterprise software IT needs to keep people productive with secured access to their digital workspaces. It future proofs against ever-evolving infrastructure, network, and hybrid workforce demands with deployment flexibility for virtually any host environment or workload. Built on the same technology that won both HP and Teradici an Engineering Emmy® in 2020, HP Anyware creates a seamless experience for teams to interact with their digital workspaces from virtually anywhere.

If you have ever accessed a remote workstation or digital workspace, you have used a remote display protocol. But not all remoting solutions are created equal. Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

    First time login:

    1. Allocate a mac2 dedicated host in your account. See https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/hands-on/launch-connect-to-amazon-ec2-mac-instance/  .
    2. Using this marketplace listing, launch a mac2.metal instance.
    3. Using a PCoIP Zero Client or Teradici Software Client (https://docs.teradici.com/find/subscription/cloud-access/product/cloud-access-software/component?productrelease=current ), connect to the instance using its public IP address, "ec2-user" as the user, and the instance ID as the password.
    4. For best security practices, it is highly recommended to change the initial password for the user "ec2-user" on first login using the command ($ sudo passwd ec2-user ).

    Notable considerations:

    1. Automatic software updates are disabled in macOS. See https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/ec2-mac-instances.html#mac-instance-considerations  .
    2. Mac instances are available only as bare metal instances on Dedicated Hosts, with a minimum allocation period of 24 hours before you can release the Dedicated Host. You can launch one Mac instance per Dedicated Host.
    3. When you stop or terminate a Mac instance, a scrubbing workflow is performed on the Dedicated Host. Note that it may take 15 minutes or more to restart a macOS EC2 instance. See https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/ec2-mac-instances.html#mac-instance-stop  .
    4. To increase the size of your Amazon EBS volumes on your Mac instance, see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/ec2-mac-instances.html#mac-instance-increase-volume  .
    5. For a full list of Mac instance considerations, see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/ec2-mac-instances.html#mac-instance-considerations  .
