     Info

    Overview

TortoiseSVN Subversion is created to help programmers in keeping an eye on the different versions of their source code, and easily maintain current and historical versions of their projects. Being an Apache SVN client it favorably stands out among others clients with its user-friendly interface.

Since it is implemented as a Microsoft Windows shell extension, which means it's available right where you need it: in the Windows file explorer, what makes it intuitive and easy to use, since it doesn't require the Subversion command line client to run.

TortoiseSVN is stable Before every release, developers create one or more "release candidates" for adventurous people to test first. During development cycles, many people test intermediate builds. These are built every night automatically and made available to all the users. This helps finding bugs very early so they won't even get into an official release. A big user community helps out with testing each build before it is released. A custom crash report tool is included in every TortoiseSVN release which helps developers to fix the bugs much faster, even if you can't remember exactly what you did to trigger it.

This image is specially hardened by Tidal Media Inc. to use in the AWS cloud environment. Being easy-to-use it deploys in minutes on demand. We already made everything for you, there's not much left!

    Highlights

    • TortoiseSVN Subversion is really easy-to-use due to all commands being available directly from the Windows Explorer.
    • All Subversion protocols are supported (http:// https:// svn:// svn+ssh:// file:/// svn+XXX://)
    • Can create a graph of all revisions/commits. You can then easily see where you created a tag/branch or modified a file/folder.

What do you like best about the product?
The TortoiseSVN Subversion on Windows Server 2019 provides such functionalities that I can compare the previous branch and the new changes after the conflicts, and that too outside the IDE. So that I won't have to look up my IDE every time I need to resolve conflicts ,the compare functionality of the product is also very easy and user-friendly is what I liked the most about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although many people are using TortoiseSVN Subversion on Windows Server 2019, after I switched from windows to Linux, I must look for something else as the product is not available for Linux, and this is what I disliked the most about the product ; everything else is good and nice
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unlike other products such as Gitlab and GitHub, TortoiseSVN Subversion on Windows Server 2019 is very helpful. When it comes to beginners, there are many basic functionalities and user-friendliness, and I can resolve conflicts using those functionalities outside the IDE and compare any branch with much current branch.

What do you like best about the product?
Great way to compare folders and shared folders with a wide group of people all on their independent computers. I use it at work extensively to share files across different departments. SVN allows us to track revision history, changes in files, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using a work folder and a repository folder so that employees don't accidentally commit or delete something from the repository has us constantly updating and committing files which becomes a big chore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows our company to share files in an organized way and with different levels of access across our entire organization. Provide a great repository of files for all our work, project, accounting, administration everything.
