Overview
IBM Data Gate on Cloud offers IBM Z customers a modern hybrid cloud approach for accessing data originating in Db2 for z/OS. Through a built-in integrated synchronization protocol, Db2 for z/OS data can be replicated to Db2 Warehouse on Cloud for direct access, or infused into the watsonx.data lakehouse through Db2 connectors for Presto.

New VPC deployment
This CFT provisions a VPC, and an Openshift ROSA Cluster in three given availability zones of a given region as well as further netowrking related artifacts. Inside the cluster the CFT provisions a Data Gates instance and makes it available inside the VPC.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
