Amazon ML Solutions Lab engagements typically last from 3 to 9 months.
Our main goal is to deliver working ML capabilities that get deployed to your production environment. In many cases, we start with a limited proof of concept (POC) to prove the value of ML for a particular use case of yours, and then scope out and implement the minimum viable product (MVP) to take the new ML capabilities to production. Additionally, we will work collaboratively with your data scientists and developers, enabling them to take what they have learned through the process and use it elsewhere in their organization.
Typically, we start with a one to two hour discovery call to “work backwards” from your business challenges, determine if ML is a good fit for your use cases, and find out if you have the data to support those uses cases. If we agree to move forward, the next step would be a ½ day in-person ML Discovery Workshop where we dive deeper to identify and prioritize use cases and start scoping out a plan to move forward with a full engagement.
Typically we meet with the customer in person (at your location or AWS) to kick off the engagement and to determine a working cadence. After that, our ML experts will visit your site as needed, and have regular checkpoints using video conference, while working remotely on a regular basis.
The Amazon ML Solutions Lab is available in countries throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Please contact your AWS account manager with questions about support in your location.
ML Solutions Lab engagements vary in pricing. Please reach out to your account manager for more details.
