I started to use datadog due to a stand on europython, and it's really easy to setup

Using Datadog fot monitoring SQL servers running on Amazon EC2 Instances
What do you like best about the product?
Pre-built solution for SQL Server is excellent, allows collect data from logs and performance counters, set up appropriate alerts and view analytical dashboards
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial set-up is a bit complex, documentation could be more detailed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Datadog is a true cloud based solution does not requires any additiona hardware deployment, this is very comfortable for budget

What do you like best about the product?
Datadog organizes reports in a clear way. Integration with Airflow is also very useful, since that's what handles all of out production jobs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Comparing custom metrics is limited right now. Improving flexibility in the future would be nice.

We're monitoring our production data tables to ensure quality and meet SLAs.
DataDog is a great product

It makes finding relevant data to what's going on in a system super easy. Diagnosing problems is a breeze.

The learning curve is a little too steep.

Learn it. It will be totally worth it.

UI is so-so, APM is not good enough and expesive

-Nothing to dislike. This tool meets most of my demands. I'm really satisfied with the feature set

Good product, but doesn't understand it's value
What do you like best about the product?
We love Datadog. It is a great way to consume metrics from aws and alert on them and build dashboards.

The pricing model per server is very odd. In modern cloud environments, servers are usually cattle. We see the value in datadog's "free" statsd collection and data processing.

Data dog does offer a free service but it limits you to one day of retention, five hosts, and no alert capability

datadog offers analysis capabilities that extend well beyond a traditional report set, starting with the search capability provided in the event view. Users can build queries based on a number of criteria, including the host, event priority, tag, or status which has allowed us to be more analytical in all of our approach

Datadog offers three pricing tiers, including a free service level that limits you to one day of retention, five hosts, and no alert capability. The Enterprise tier is required for corporations looking to monitor more than 500 hosts, and pricing is negotiated on a per-customer basis.
Most customers will likely go for the Pro service level, which costs $15 monthly per host when billed annually. Datadog Pro provides support for up to 500 hosts and offers alerting, custom metrics and events, and 13-month data retention.

Good monitoring service for cloud-scale applications
What do you like best about the product?
Love their dashboard functionality. The APIs and interactions are very good,. The built in notification functionality is good

Sometimes the datadog service is slow. No flaws other than that.

One tool which helps us to track variety of metrics .

DataDog is great tool and it does all hard work and make our life easy.
