Empowers my entire team!

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is very intuitive and easy to use. It allows individuals to link Facebook Groups and Pages, as well as Instagram and Twitter. And it allows for scheduling as well as engaging followers right from the module.
What do you dislike about the product?
Right now, there is not much I dislike about Hootsuite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Hootsuite with my volunteers across the country who are running their own support groups on Facebook or special event Facebook pages and Twitter accounts. They have varying experience and comfort on social media and are often intimidated by the various channels they want to manage but feel they can't. By consolidating everything right in one product and then allowing them to schedule posts into the future, they feel in control of managing social media and interacting with their followers. It's fantastic.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand your needs and budget. Hootsuite is a great fit for small non-profits. It's worth it to bump up to the paid version.

What do you dislike about the product?
Free account limit to only three social media profiles.

I was having problem in posting and promoting my photography website photowalastudio individually in each social media platform but now its easy for me to schedule post to all three platforms like facebook, twitter and google plus with just on click.

Hootsuite for personal use, business and advocacies

  • May 19, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That it's easy to learn and it's still free for up to 3 social media accounts. It also makes it easy for me to check all my social media accounts and retweet messages. It's also easy to shorten links, attach images and schedule tweets.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a bit of time to load especially for us here in the Philippines. Also, for a non profit in a 3rd world country, $8.99/mo is still high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main benefit is that it's free and I use it to run a non profit website Localove Philippines to advertise local smallholder farmers, artists and micro businesses (http://localove.org).

Perfect solution for a small department without a dedicated social media person!

  • May 18, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Several of us try to keep up with social media for a small university department, but it's not in any of our job descriptions. Hootesuite's ability to let us schedule our posts ahead of time to multiple social media feeds has been awesome! We sit down once a month and get materials scheduled so that there's always new content in our feeds.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really wish there was an easier way to integrate with Pinterest and Instagram.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We no longer have long gaps between new content in our feeds, and we can track metrics for our social media posts--all in one place. We didn't have the time to do that before, and so we just didn't do it.

Hootsuite

  • May 11, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite allows us to manage multiple social media accounts simultaneously while also monitoring social media activity. One of the better social media management platforms available.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest wish is that Hoostuite could post natively to Instagram without having to manually push a photo on a mobile device.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media managment and monitoring. Scheduling posts. Following trending hashtags.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Has more features, but more complicated than other services like Buffer and Sprout Social. Wish it had more robust analytical options.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Good low-cost solution

  • May 10, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is a good free to low-cost product for social media moderation and scheduling.
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics can be a bit clunky and you have to pay extra to really use them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This was the first software we used when we didn't have a budget for a more intensive product. It was good for basic scheduling and we often use it to create streams when we want to follow a hashtag. I often recommend it for our chapters who do not have a budget for monitoring software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good if you need a basic and inexpensive product for social media within a small team - I have not tried to use it as an enterprise solution

Social Media Management

  • April 27, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to manage my Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn from one dashboard. I also enjoy the ability to monitor mentions and trends along side of my feeds.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free plan only allows for a few accounts to be synced. It also lacks in integrating with all of my social accounts, and only syncs with the big players in social media. It also lacks in more in depth features, like social demographics, social reporting, filtering, social ad tracking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I previously was monitoring both a community foundation and a university department's social media feeds.

A Solid Platform Lacking a Few Bells & Whistles

  • April 20, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily post basic social media posts to multiple platforms. I use this to post, simultaneously, to my company's Facebook, LinkedIn and two Google+ pages. We also have a twitter profile, but I generally have to post separately to Twitter because of the character limit. That said, it does handle basic sharing well, including links (including link text) and hashtags, although I don't think it works well for @mentioning a friend or other page in a post.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing photos is often inconsistent and sometimes annoying, especially when dealing with multiple platforms simultaneously. This is likely a result of the different terminology and features used by each of the platforms, however, it means that it is usually easier to just post an album to Facebook and Google+ separately without using Hootsuite at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is definitely a time-saver when it comes to posting to multiple platforms, however, I could probably be using it more to actually monitor our feeds, however, our interaction isn't high enough to justify Hootsuite's use for this at this time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It definitely speeds up the posting process when using multiple platforms, however, I think you can get a lot more out of it if you are also using it to monitor your feeds, which is not something we are currently using it for (not because it doesn't do it well, but because we don't have a need for it right now).
