It has a few glitches but I work well with it.

Synchronous is very useful when you want to create quick design itterations.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is less access to customer use information when searching general how-to videos

Digital part creation with assembly integration and visualization prior to manufacturing.

Good program but missing speed and functionality of other softwares such as solidworks

Simple to use.
Easy to transition from other programs.
I like the design manager, seeing links, replacing parts, replacing links.
Not exactly a good thing sometimes but it keeps working when model is broken.

missing speed and functionality of other softwares such as solidworks. Hard to identify what's broken.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solid edge is great at detailed mechanical design.
Powerful tools, bit of a learning curve

The weldment package and the different ways to make weldments

Some tools require a lot of mouse clicking and even require you to jump backwards in the order of operations to work

It allows us to model 3d designs and check for problems before production

What do you like best about the product?
Solid Edge is able to handle our complex models with hundreds of thousands of BOM lines.
What do you dislike about the product?
When opening our largest assemblies, we can run into issues where it takes hours to open files. It's faster with Teamcenter than it was with Insight, but it still takes too long.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solid Edge helps us design, manufacture, and test very complex modeling situations. It allows us to share work across our department and pick up where others left off.

SE388 - Solid Edge Premium
What do you like best about the product?
Translators provided in this package from Catia V5 and creo helped us alot as most of our clients send us file either in CATPart, CATASSM format.
We also use some scanned CAD Data, and the reverse engineering tool provided in SE388 makes our work easier and time saving too.

What do you dislike about the product?
Only the user interface is bit tricky as compared to Solid works. However Addons such as SE395F helped us in Generative Design Solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work on Generative design, Sheet Metal and Reverse Engineering. Solid Edge Premium with Addon SE395F Address all these domains and make our work easier.
Solid Edge - SE397
What do you like best about the product?
Solid Edge Comes with powerful design Solution, We recieved one project about Piping and SE397 provided us enormous piping Liberaries for disigning in time efficient Manner. it is easy to use.

user interface needs some enhancement, so that candidate from SW can easily oprate on SE.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SE397 come with pre existing Libraries which reduses our time for designing and timely delivery of project.
Solid Edge - SE430
What do you like best about the product?
It made our design efficient and fast on top of that it is very easy to perform CAM Toolpath with SE430. license configuration is also easy and siemens provide dedicated partner for querry resolution.
What do you dislike about the product?
As of now all is well, our team is easily working on this software bundle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
VMC tool path designing is very user friendly also our design team is easily performing 3D CAD modelling and Drafting. Few Libraries are also available which make our work easier.
