What do you like best about the product?
Absorb is easy to use. The training that is provided is excellent too. I've really enjoyed the AI tool as well as the narration tool. I also like the knoweldge check options. The customer service support we've recived...fabulous. The team at Absorb has been with us every step of the way making implementation steamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't really think of something I dislike other than when CREATING training in the system, you have to be careful by not creating confusing with the word "create" and the software "Create." That was very confusing with our onboarding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We continue to add trainers to our operational units to develop and lead training. The Absorb LMS will, and already has to a certain extent, reduce the need of headcount. In addition, the LMS ensures that we have consistency in our training. This has been very helpful because we are in a union environment. We can use the training in the LMS to demonstrate the qualtiy of training as well as document the training occured. We have also integrated our compliance training into Absorb. By doing so, we have reduced the amount of manual entry and management of our compliance training program. Abosrb has been a fabulous addition to our HR processes.

What do you like best about the product?
Absorb is an intituive and powerful platform that has allowed our buisness to modernise the uplift of capability for our employees. Not only is the LMS a platform that creates a user friendly experience as a learner and admin, but the team and Brittney Kopacki has been very approachable, knowledgable and prompt, they also are keen to ensure we are across enhancements and provide advice to gain the best use of the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functionality around dynamic user groups could be improved. (e.g. If a learner is no longer targeted to a recurring course, it would be good if the enrolment was removed automatically, rather than manually)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The LMS allows us to have a one stop shop for learning (ILC and Online) which previously we used multiple software to do what absorb does in one go. There is also the ability to load our own authored eLearning (from Articulate) , manage reporting as well as automate processes that were previously manual. This has allowed us to streamline processes, report in a timely manner and uplift our content and rollout of courses.

What do you like best about the product?
Absorb Customer Support is responsive and knowledgable. We love the internal course authoring tool and how easy it is to upload various types of media to digital courses overall. We have been able to integrate easily with our HRIS.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like more ad hoc reporting features integrated into the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning required trainined and tracking compliance. Creating customized digital courses.

What do you like best about the product?
For the most part, Absorb is easy to use and intuative. The Create tool with the addition of AI is a huge help in the creation of new content. Our Absorb support team is always available to help when needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some aspects of Absorb are cumbersome - for example, when creating a class, it is really easy to click on the wrong button so you end up enrolling the entire company in the class vs. just making it available to everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Absorb helps us to easily create custom, internal content, track completion and assess the quality of the learning.

What do you like best about the product?
Learner self-enrollment minimizes manual administrative work. I love how easy it is to use. Having all the data in one platform is really convenient. Assessments are completed online and automatically corrected, eliminating the need for printing and instructor assessing manually. Instructors have a live view of enrollments and can track progress easily. The automated messages and notifications. Sessions can be added to Outlook calendar. Portal customisation of branding etc. The ongoing patience and support and assistance from Brittney, Raymond and Jerome. Quick and prompt reply from support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to add more data to the dashboard widgets and not being able to add more than 10 widgets. When using enrolment keys, inability to make the learner inactive until approved. Communication breakdown when we first signed up, we were not made aware of the different packages and add-onsr and were not advised or shown what was included in our package. Unable to schedule future course enrolment by user or group.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Report Data: This helps how we view the reports and that we get the correct information on the report. Looking at the different packages on offer to minimise inactive users being charged.

Absorb challenges and improvement needs

What do you like best about the product?
Out of the box reporting features of Absorb LMS is quite helpful as it includes a variety of column data fields to select from. As well, the ability to save, pin, share and schedule a report is helpful

Add-ons such as the Absorb Engage is useful for communicating with users - particularly the news articles tool.

There's also a clear distinction between the different experiences (i.e., learner experience, admin experience and manager experience)
What do you dislike about the product?
The following are features of Absorb LMS that could be improved:

- placing data in either historical or active causes prolonged data clean up processes and confusion with migration of historical data

- course and curriculum settings need to be set before enrollment so that the settings can be applied to the users being enrolled and settings are unfortunately not applied to previous users who were enrolled before settings were changed

- We encountered various challenges with our Absorb Implementation Manager, which caused delays and errors in setting up our LMS; for example, the training provided to us did not align with requirements we presented. The experience we had during implementation is still being felt post-launch as we continue to fix data inconsistencies, setting up curriculum and courses (e.g., post-course settings), etc.

- we have to assign individual departments and job codes to a course for automatic enrollment instead of having the ability to group departments and job codes for more efficient way to assign

- we have a few recurring courses (e.g., courses that need to be taken every year, every 2 years, etc.) which was difficult to set up within a curriculum since we cannot set up a curriculum with courses that have different recurrence and have it applied to both previous and new users being enrolled in the curriculum.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Issues currently being solved right now with our CSM are ones that occurred based on our implementation experience.

What do you like best about the product?
User interface is easy for the most part for the staff. I can run a basic report easily in the back end.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system does not work as how we understood it to work with regard to curriculums and individual modules as well as the group struture. Reporting has not worked well. Sorting in the Training History is very challenging when a learner has been around for a long time, making it hard to find information. There should be a search field above the course list.
Implementation in Nov 2023 did not go well with our implementation manager (she was aggressive, non-listener, and in the end taught us how to setup items incorrectly, to which we are still trying to fix 6 months later).

NOTE: our current CSM (Stephen C.) has been fantastic, given the situaton he came in to. And has done a great job trying to help us fix the many implementation issue that were created
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had an outdated LMS and went to RFP for a more modern LMS, but to be honest we have had more issues now with this LMS as to the functionality we expected.

What do you like best about the product?
In our organization, most of our users belong to the Millennial, Generation Z, or Alpha generations. Absorb's platform effectively communicates with our Associates through its intuitive interface, and our Admin teams value Absorb's outstanding customer service. Our client representative, Joel Hart, is always available, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. It seems to me that Joel and Absorb are just as committed to our success as we are. We view Absorb as a partner and a tool for enhancing compliance, fostering the growth of our teams, and providing an innovative platform that fosters personal development.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting system needs to be modified to better align with our business needs. We encountered some hiccups with the ADP Connector during implementation, which delayed our rollout. However, we have not experienced any further issues with the ADP Connector since then.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Absorb is leading us to become an asset where our teams can focus on personal development, understand corporate communications and initiatives, learn more about our culture, and quickly solve issues that arise in our stores.

What do you like best about the product?
Absorb LMS provided us with the administrative features we needed to support our 3rd part trainers who deliver our courses around the world.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am less enamoured with the design templates.

Absorb is helping us integrate many processes through the delivery of courses through 3rd party trainers to integrating certification data into our propriety software.
