Great Platform and Customer Service

  • April 01, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How flexible and adaptable the system is. We have a different way of doing things and we had multiple ways of setting the system up to make it work. It is great to know that this system can grow with us over many years.

Customer service is amazing. I can't even begin to talk about how well they help and really try to understand what we are doing so we get the best care.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing. There are a few things here and there in the system that could change but it is nothing that is super huge and important to how we are using the system. The number of features/options outweighs any issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of registration for our participants, a great way of housing all of our e-learns, communications with the participants, and a great way to keep the participants on a specific track of education.

What do you like best about the product?
I found the ease of use, implementation, and integration the most helpful. Our support team was always quick to reply or jump on a call to help us work out out struggle.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the Knowledge Articles are helpful and a great tool, they are at times overwhelming because the large number of them can make it hard to locate the exact help you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall effeficeny, removing a great deal of manual tasks, a more clean and sleek appearance and more interactive learning experience.

What do you like best about the product?
Absorb is intuitive, has excellent functionality, and enables us to provide a powerful and exciting tool for our trainers and learners.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time to learn the system. This isn't necessarily a downside, but a reality of becoming a SME in a new tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consistent and thorough training; specific topic training; ease of building content and delivery of content.

Great perks, but with lots of work

What do you like best about the product?
I love that having the integration team work with us to learn and troubleshoot the system. We use it for online courses and to track other live training among over 17K employees. It has been good to be able to use current presentation sources (like Articulate or PowerPoint) were able to be used. It has good reporting features already built in on each page, and the Ideas Portal allows us to express what we need and it gets reviewed and either rejected, postponed, or implemented easily. Our Client Support Specialist, Sherrie Luke has lovingly held our hand through the changes from the former LMS and our mnay user errors. It made it less frustrating to integrate in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the reporting that you think would be intuitive to an LMS are not included--Things like running scalable transcripts, monitoring multiple course progress for a group of people, and seeing progress within a curriculum regardless of people registering or not. We did use the Idea Portal to voice this and some things are being added to its improvement, but initially when asking how to see progress or run reports the answer was "purchase this $25k other product and see if that works for you". That does not. It seems this was a POS that was turned into a learning management system--so many features were not helpful for what would be basic needs for an LMS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has been great to be able to gather certain courses and file names in one place and assign them to the departments automatically. We use Absorb as a platform for an electronic filing cabinet. We hold certificates, checklists, resource sheets, Past due memos, external training, department specific courses, and live training in here. It has been great to use features like enrollment and nudge emails for courses people can self-enroll in. It has also been great to contact or prohibit people from enrolling in courses that aren't intended for certain audiences.

When Kimberly the new CEO came on and dedicated a group of people to reviewing input and finding ways to implement the requests from the field that made a HUGE difference in how we viewed the system. It gave us more patience for developments to occur that we honestly expected initially from the system. We rely heavily on our Client Services Manager to help us when our team can't problem solve something among each other. Sherrie has also been instrumental to helping understanding some of the updates. Even with the Absorb Academy it benefits to have a demo from someone who knows OUR usage and system.

Absorb LMS

  • March 27, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I was a fan of how easy it was to learn and adapt to. The Admin panel is very intuitive and we were able to lock down the user interface to be as simple or complicated as needed for our target audience. It was also able to utilize Single Sign-On capabilities which took a load off of my responsibilities. The project managers that assisted us have always been available and very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting structure is extremely rigid and did not meet our needs. Instead, our workaround was to export all of our information away from the LMS and managed elsewhere internally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a system to host our SCORM based trainings initially, and have built further upon this since implementation to reach 1000+ students.

Absorb has changed our onboarding experience for the better!

  • March 27, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Absorb itself is a good LMS and has many features we can and do use. The Create module has been a game changer in allowing us to author interactive courses and pull them into the framework of the LMS. It has improved our onboarding process so much and the rest of our 1200+ employees use the tool as well. I also love the ability to impersonate users.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like for our users to be able to add their training to their LinkedIn profile. Also we wish you could do multiple playback speeds in the video player.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to implementing Absorb, we didn't have a single place to host or track employee training.

NBCU- Technical Operations Absorb

What do you like best about the product?
The tool was very helpful in updating re-enrollments dates and adding/updating courses.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updating multiple employees enrolled in different courses at the same time. Our teams had a lot of hands-on training that was used in Absorb so it took some time for managers to update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Operational Training for employees

External LMS Build and Launch Process

  • March 26, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Absorb took much of the hard work out of the building process. Much of the process was simple, easy to navigate, and when an issue arose it was able to be solved quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were some design and use flaws for our custom use of the Absorb platform. I am however extremely hopeful that these issues can easily be changed/updated with time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Absorb is allowing us to upgrade from our previous LMS while also providing an updated and intuitive platform. It takes on a lot of the extra work that our previous LMS required, and allows us to automate more tasks related to our courses.

Our IPM was nothing short of AMAZING!

  • March 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Absorb has a very user friendly interface and an amazing team of people who are crazy responsive, kind, and helpful. Our IPM, May, madethe stressful process of integration and data migration so much easier and was our cheerleader and champion throughout our implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Absorb does have some limitations around customization that we wished we could change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a unique use case where almost all of our LMS users are external. We also have very specific requirements for completion certificates, where credits earned need to be broken down into credit types and also need to be adjusted by individual. Absorb was able to meet our niche needs with regard to this functionality.

First Time LMS Implementation

  • March 25, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Absorb LMS is designed to accomodate the different hierarchical templates we anticipated for our audience. We are also confident that Absorb is versatile enough to accomodate new rulesets as we begin to develop training material for learners in different scopes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Absorb LMS may be more involved than other LMS systems with a steeper learning curve. We also attribute this to it's aim to provide more options for clients that have a variety of audience scenarios.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company was very dependent on in-person training for product service and support. As our territory grows, both in North America and overseas, this becomes more of a challenge. The COVID restrictions really emphasized our limitations to continue relying completely on in-person training. We identified LMS as an avenue to provide primary instruction to the service staff in our dealer network. Not only would it provide convenient access to training regardless of location, it also prepares technicians who do attend in person training.
We are still in the implementation phase of releasing course material to our North American dealer network, but are impressed with the initial response.
