What do you like best about the product?
I like my communication process with the team, and I love to ask for features and support help. They always come to me in less than 5 minutes for calls or messages. The way we delegate to this tool all our infra about gke is impressive we don't worry about the scaling and the recreation of nodes.
Onboarding was super easy because the installation process was very smooth.
Amazing cost savings - we expect to reach savings of around 35% next year due to the fact that we have previously purchased CUDs with Google. They will end next year, and we’re bound to see more savings then.
What do you dislike about the product?
Is hard to find something, but I'll point to a specific topic, but this can be a request only for my company; I always miss some information about our infra prices or the total amount of prices related to specific nodes templates or clusters. I think is most related to our cases.
I also think the process to upgrade the tool is no transparent in different cases I found quite of differents UI bugs related to big impacts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have an issue to handle the nodes before using cast, with cast when we need more pods they handle everything.

Castai is an incredible tool that has greatly helped us in reducing our cloud costs. Moreover, the company's delivery service is the fastest I have ever seen, and their support team is highly responsive and consistently efficient.

The aspect I find most challenging is perhaps the tool's high level of configurability, which can sometimes make it a bit difficult to fully harness its potential. However, I am thankful that their team is exceptionally adept at guiding users and assisting them in making progress, thus helping to overcome any hurdles and fully utilize its capabilities

Release process is not great with a bunch of breaking changes being released very often which requires a lot of changes from customer perspective.

A Kubernetes scheduling tool that we were missing
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of installation and use of the platform. In about 20 minutes you have your Kubernetes nodes managed by cast.ai. It was really quick and easy to set up.
The configuration of the different node types is also very convenient and the cost tracking is very powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually, nothing. The product corresponded totally to our needs and expectations. But if we really want to find something to complain about, we could talk about the price. The pricing per CPU can be disadvantageous in some cluster configurations I think. In our case, we managed to negotiate a fixed price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cast.ai allows us to easily track the cost of our clusters and the various Kubernetes applications and namespaces. And in terms of node scheduling it allows us to have Kubernetes nodes faster and better balanced than the basic scheduling of our Cloud provider. Scheduling is the feature that interested us the most, especially for setting up spot nodes (reduced rates) very easily.

Highly technical team, they listen to our problems and their product allows for a lot of granularity and control.

There is a lot of helm chart setups to get the configurations that we need. They caused reliability issues which says that they need to mature a bit more, but are getting there.

CAST AI worked well with only certain types of clusters. For others we did not see any substantial cost savings.
